A COMMITMENT TO PROVIDING  "A SAFE WATER RESOURCE"

                      YES    WE    CAN

                       OUR   WORK

Because there is no single defination for drought, its onset and termination are difficult to
determine.  We can, however, identify various indications of drought and tracking these
indicators provides us with a crucial means of monitoring drought.

If you are new to the conceipt of monitoring drought, "Drought Indices" and NDMC white paper
will give you a good overview of the various kinds of drought indices and the uses.

Three newer tools (the Standardized Precipitation Index, Drought Monitor and Drought Impact
Reporter) are now deployed and used to explore the many monitoring tools on the web to expl-
oring current and historical drought occurrences.

In Sub-Saharan Africa, trends observed since 1990 indicate that
neither the sanitation nor the drinking water targets will be met
         by 2015.

Our main goal is to help people in Africa generate clean and safe water using the Reverse
Osmosis Process.  We would want to see that semi arid land receives this water so we may
also be able to reverse the desertification that has been taking place there.

                                                              THE   NAMIBIAN   PROJECT

A&S Funding DBA Safe Water Source. Org is actively involved in raising

funds to purchase 2 units as shown above for Namibia, which incidentally happens to
be our pioneer project.  Each unit is capable of pumping 30,000 gallons of pure water
with little or no operational costs.   The land and the in-kind services are guaranteed by
The Namibian Government.  In return we will donate these units and the company that
manufactures these units will train personal to loperate the units.  The Cost of each unit
is about $100,000/- They are completely self-contained, mobile and generate their own
electricty with the use of the solar panels.

Our goal in the NAMIBIAN   PROJECT is to provide clean and pure water for villages,
agriculture, sanitation and try to reverse the desertification which is fast taking over
                                                                  Africa.
